The Mad Flavor Of Comedian Joey Diaz

After telling a coworker that my fiancé and I have a podcast called Coffee & Conspiracy, he recommended that I check out the Joe Rogan Podcast and so I did. I’m glad I did check out Joe Rogan’s podcast, because it made me aware of a great comedian and storyteller named Joey Diaz.

I started watching all the Joey Diaz’s clips on YouTube that I could find and checking out his podcast called The Church of What’s Happening Now. If you want some inspiration and motivation in your life, and a laugh I recommend that you check them out. I think we need more inspiration and motivation in this crazy world we live in now. For me personally listening to Joey Diaz makes me want to work harder at things that I want to do in my life.

If you have Netflix be sure to check out Joey Diaz’s standup. He is a part of a series called The Degenerates featuring half hour sets of comedy with the likes of Big Jay Oakerson, Christiana P, Liza Treyger,  Yamaneika Saunders, and Brad Williams. If you like raunchy and straight to the face comedy you will love this series.

This past Friday when putting this article together I found out that Fox Networks announced that they are working with Joey Diaz on a television show. According to Deadline where the news broke, the network has given a script commitment to the show, which is a series starring comedian Joey Diaz titled Uncle Joey. Written by former King of the Hill and Maron executive producers Sivert Glarum and Michael Jamin, the show follows Diaz as “a Cuban immigrant with a troubled past who’s given a second chance at life when he moves his family to an upscale suburb. Intent on being the best family man possible, Joey works to raise his young daughter with old school values in today’s rapidly changing world.”

I’m so looking forward to posting and checking out this project. Congrats to you Mr. Diaz I don’t know if you read these articles, but just know that your words have helped motivate me and give me a clearer picture on what kind of path I want to be on. It’s a good day to be alive. It is good sir.
