Indeed, this years ceremony saw an amazing line-up of directors vying for the top prize that includes director Guillermo del Toro (The Shape of Water), Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird), Martin McDonagh (Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri), Christopher Nolan (Dunkirk), and Jordan Peele (Get Out).

The nominations for the 90th Academy awards were announced today, and Guillermo Del Toro's 'The Shape of Water' seems to be continuing it's awards show streak with 13 Oscar nominations in total.
