Brie Larson Concludes Filming on ‘Captain Marvel’

Brie Larson has finally concluded filming on ‘Captain Marvel’. Although the oscar winning actress has been teasing her role in Marvel’s first female-led movie for some time, it seems that Larson has finally completed her portion of filming after 75 days. To celebrate, Larson has taken to Instagram to showcase a signed slate from the production of the film. Check it out below:

Even though ‘Captain Marvel‘ began filming in late march, the true question here is if the actual production has any shooting left to do. I’m assuming so, since the schedule in the background is only referring to the days where Larson was shooting. Either way, this means that we’ll most likely be getting and official image of Larson as the titular character, with a trailer surely coming in the next few months as principal photography winds down.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck direct from a screenplay by (takes deep breath) Meg LeFauve (Inside Out), Nicole Perlman (Guardians of the Galaxy), Geneva Robertson-Dworet (Tomb Raider), Liz Flahive & Carly Mensch (GLOW), along with Boden and Fleck. Ben Davis (who shot Doctor Strange) will photograph the picture, with Andy Nicholson (Gravity) serving as production designer. Here’s the full cast for Captain Marvel: Brie Larson, Samuel L. Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Gemma Chan, Algenis Perez Soto, Rune Temte, McKenna Grace, Djimon Hounsou, Lee Pace, with Clark Gregg and Jude Law. Captain Marvel‘ is set for release in theaters on March 8, 2019. In the meantime, you can check out the first unofficial image of Larson in costume as the character here. Below you can find the official synopsis for the film:

The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races.  Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
