First ‘Titans’ Trailer Finds Robin Going Rogue

DC Universe has revealed the first trailer for ‘Titans‘, the gritty upcoming adaptation of ‘Teen Titans‘. The series was developed for television by well established names such as Greg Berlanti, Geoff Johns, and Akiva Goldsman, but based on this first trailer the show looks to be too dark for it’s own good. The series mainly focuses on Brenton Thwaites’ Dick Grayson and Teagan Croft’s Rachel Roth (Raven) as they recruit a team to stop a force that threatens the entire planet.

While ‘Titans‘ is intended to be one of the flagship shows on the DC Universe platform is set to launch this fall, but this show honestly looks pretty bad. I mean, the show looks to have some cool designs, but it just looks to be relentlessly gritty for no particular reason. Time will tell how the show pans out in terms of quality, but ‘Titans‘ also features appearances by Anna Diop as Starfire, Ryan Potter as Beast Boy, Alan Ritchson as Hawk and Minka Kelly as Dove.

The new series is set to premiere in the fall of 2018, presumably with the launch of DC Universe. The sevice itself is now taking pre-orders and will cost $74.99 (plus tax if applicable in your state) for a yearly membership. You can get it monthly at launch for $7.99/month as well. In the meantime, here’s the first trailer, along with the official synopsis for ‘Titans’ below:
