Sony Pictures Releases New Poster for ‘Venom’

The upcoming ‘Venom‘ spin-off film is the first in what Sony Pictures hopes to be a series of films set in the “Spider-verse” which will give Spider-Man characters their own films. Tom Hardy will star as Eddie Brock in this version of the popular Spider-Man character which has not been seen in 11 years. The character first appeared on the big screen in the Sam Rami directed Spider-Man 3 (2007). We have yet to see a glimpse of what the character will look like this time around and there has not been any footage or synopsis released, but we do finally have a poster to add to the official photo that was released earlier this year.

Sony Pictures has released a poster for the film and it at least gives us a logo for now.

The film is currently due to hit theaters October 5 but the poster just displays the month of the release.

Joining Tom Hardy in the film will be Michelle Williams, Riz Ahmed, and Woody Harrelson. Spider-Man: Homecoming‘s Tom Holland is rumored to appear in the film. Ruben Fleischer is directing Venom which was written by Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle writers Jeff Pinkner and Scott Rosenberg.

I'm a pop culture fanatic based out of Southern California. My collection of comics and pop culture memorabilia would even impress The Collector. When I'm not busy writing about pop culture news, doing film reviews or interviewing celebs, my brother and I work on a comic book called Blood-RED (And yes, that was a cheap plug). I have a certificate of completion for a children’s storybook writing program.
