The Deadpool sequel is just months away from hitting the big screen and this time under the Disney banner. Yes, that still seems weird that the “merc with a mouth” is now owned by Mickey Mouse but nonetheless we are still getting an Rated-R Deadpool. As of now, the only footage we have seen from the film is from the memorable Bob Ross teaser from back in November. Recent rumors have the next trailer attached to the opening of Marvel Studios’ Black Panther, which would make sense since Black Panther‘s release date is just around the corner (Feb. 15).
Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds released a new poster for the sequel that takes it back to the 80s. In a Twitter post, Reynolds said:
“Take your passion. And make it Happen. #Deadpool”.
Along with the new poster below.
The poster is a parody of 1983’s Flashdance where Jennifer Beals character famously had water doused on her for the most memorable scene in the film. This time around instead of water it’s a plethora of bullets dropping onto the hired mercenary.
Along with Ryan Reynolds, Deadpool 2 stars Josh Brolin, Morena Baccarin, Brianna Hildebrand, Zazie Beetz, T.J. Miller and Stefan Kapicic.
