‘X-Files’ Season 11 Premiere Date Announced

Agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are back on the case. FOX Network has announced that season 11 of the cult Sci-Fi television show will return in January 2018. So get the popcorn ready and set the DVR up for Wednesday, January. 3rd. The ‘X-Files‘ have now be re-opened for the agents to discover the truth.

Fans can expect some familiar faces this upcoming season. Mitch Pileggi will return as FBI Assistant Director Walter Skinner. The Cigarette Smoking Man (William B Davis) will also return to expand his secret agenda and give Mulder some more worrisome nights. The ‘Lone Gunmen’ (Tom Braidwood, Dean Haglund, and Bruce Harwood) have been confirmed for the upcoming season. It sounds as if Season 11 will center on searching for William ( Mulder & Scullly’s baby with “special power’s”). Season 11 will also deliver 8 monster of the week episodes that is not connected to the alien mythology of the series.

The show will be partnered up with Ryan Murphy‘s new cop drama 9-1-1, which will star Connie Britton, Angela Basset, and Peter Krause. Season 11 of ‘X-Files’ will have ten episodes instead of only only six which fans got in season 10, which ran in 2016.
