Official Trailer for ’50 Shades Freed’ The Final Chapter

Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson return as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele in ‘Fifty Shades Freed’, the third chapter based on the worldwide bestselling ‘Fifty Shades’ phenomenon. Expanding upon events set in motion in 2015 and 2017’s blockbuster films that grossed almost $950 million globally, the new installment arrives for Valentine’s Day 2018.

This official trailer for the new Fifty Shades film clocks in at just over 2 minutes and features all the visual elements the fanbase have come to expect from the franchise. You get the sweeping helicopter rides, quick (and rather tame) flashes of BDSM dungeons and, as always, an uneasy chemistry between Christian Grey (Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Johnson). Im going to make the assumption that if you a reading this or watching the trailer, than you are already familiar with the franchise, possibly even a fan. So it should come as no surprise that third installment jumps right in where the 50 Shades Darker left off with Christian and Ana starting their life together as husband and wife. As they begin to live out their fairy tale life, it is only a matter of time before everything goes awry. This seems to take shape as the other key players in Freed show up, which include an attractive architect set on Christian, the disturbing return of Ana’s former boss Jack Hyde, and Kim Basinger’s character of Elena, the older woman responsible for Christian’s kinky awakening.

Fifty Shades Freed is directed by Fifty Shades Darker’s James Foley (Fear, House of Cards) and once again produced by Michael De Luca, Dana Brunetti and Marcus Viscidi, alongside E L James, the creator of the culture-spanning blockbuster series. The screenplay is by Niall Leonard, based on the novel by James.
