It’s less than 4 months away and we still know very little about the upcoming sequel, having seen only one trailer so far. But thats about to change. Now I know putting a potential spoiler warning before a trailer may seem a bit excessive but apparently there is enough shown in the trailer that Director Rian Johnson thought to mention it. Earlier today Johnson responded to a fans question on Twitter about potential spoilers, with this tweet.

I think it’s fair to say that Mr. Johnsons’ comment could apply to any upcoming movie, but to be fair no other movie has a fanbase like Star Wars does. It may be over sensitive but I think his concern is understandable. The comment was made out of sincerity as a fan himself, just looking to preserve the experience for everyone awaiting the film with baited breath. Not to mention the ending of the trailer does contain what many will consider to be a “massive spoiler”, at least in my opinion.

We also got the release of the official poster for ‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ right before the game. Here’s a full glimpse. In case you haven’t noticed red really seems to be the prominent color that Johnson and company want you to focus on.

Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi features returning cast members Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker, Carrie Fisher as General Leia Organa, Adam Driver as Kylo Ren, Daisy Ridley as Rey, John Boyega as Finn, Oscar Isaac as Poe Dameron, Lupita Nyong’o as Maz Kanata, Domhnall Gleeson as General Hux, Anthony Daniels as C-3PO, Gwendoline Christie as Captain Phasma and Andy Serkis as Supreme Leader Snoke, joined by franchise newcomers Kelly Marie Tran as Rose, Benicio del Toro as “DJ” and Laura Dern as Vice Admiral Amilyn Holdo.

‘Star Wars: The Last Jedi’ arrives December 15, 2017.
