Over 30 ‘Blade Runner 2049’ Images Tease Denis Villeneuve’s Sequel

Warner Bros. and Alcon Entertainment have unveiled a bunch of new high resolution images from ‘Blade Runner 2049‘ to help promote the film’s release. Recently, we’ve seen 2 prequel shorts– ‘2036: Nexus Dawn‘ and ‘2048: Nowhere to Run‘– and with a little over a week left until the film’s release, these images couldn’t have come at a better time. Directed by Denis Villeneuve (Arrival, Sicario) and written by Hampton Fancher (Blade Runner) and Michael Green (Alien: Covenant), the film takes place 30 years after the the events of the original ‘Blade Runner‘.

Here’s the official synopsis for ‘Blade Runner 2049‘:

Thirty years after the events of the first film, a new blade runner, LAPD Officer K (Ryan Gosling), unearths a long-buried secret that has the potential to plunge what’s left of society into chaos. K’s discovery leads him on a quest to find Rick Deckard (Harrison Ford), a former LAPD blade runner who has been missing for 30 years.
