‘The Shape of Water’ Trailer

The Shape of Water‘ trailer has arrived. Director Guillermo Del Toro‘s return to the world of fantasy looks like it will be very reminiscent of his early work. Taking place in 1962, this marks Del Toro’s second period piece since directing 2013’s Pacific Rim. After the underwhelming audience reaction for his 2015 effort Crimson Peak, the auteur decided to make this film over Pacific Rim: Uprising. Based on the trailer, this seems like it was the right choice.

Fox Searchlight will release the picture on December 8, 2017. Currently, the film has no competition. That should change in the near future. With a story by Del Toro, and a screenplay by Vanessa Taylor and Del Toro, the film was produced by J.Miles Dale and Del Toro. ‘The Shape of Water’ stars Sally Hawkins, Michael Shannon, Richard JenkinsDoug Jones, Michael Stuhlbarg and Octavia Spencer.
