Nick Fury Won’t be in ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ or ‘Avengers 4’

Avengers: Infinity War‘ is pretty much bringing every major character that Marvel has ever set up. One person who definitely won’t return will be Samuel L. Jackson, who has confirmed that he will not appear in ‘Avengers: Infinity War‘ or the yet to be titled ‘Avengers 4‘. Although we haven’t see Jackson in the Marvel Cinematic Universe since ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘ (Excluding his small cameo in ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron‘), It makes sense that we haven’t see Fury for some time.

Well, Jackson doesn’t seem too keen on this idea. In a recent interview with Yahoo!, Jackson shared this thoughts on Fury’s lack of inclusion in recent movies.

“I wasn’t in the ‘superhero argument’ movie [Captain America: Civil War], I’m not in Avengers 3 and 4. They’re shooting them now, and they haven’t called me yet. They wouldn’t let me go to Black Panther-ville, so it’s kinda like how you gonna make a black Marvel movie and not let Nick Fury show up in it?!”

Translation: Sam Jackson wants to be in every Marvel movie.

The wrath of Nick Fury’s eye has spoken. But seriously, it should be noted that this interview with Jackson was conducted before Marvel revealed that a eyepatch-less Nick Fury would appear in the upcoming ‘Captain Marvel’ movie. So there’s hope for the return of Sam Jackson’s favorite character. Sure Jackson was halfway kidding in the interview, but Jackson has always stated that he’d be in these movies as long as Marvel wants him to. At the sme time, there’s only so much that you can do with a character like Fury – at least in the present.

Avengers: Infinity War‘ will release on May 4, 2018 and ‘Avengers 4‘ will release May 3, 2019.
