Stranger Things Season 2

Something bizarre, something anomalous, something peculiar, something…. odd is on its way to Hawkins, Indiana.  Netflix has released 12 STRANGE new character posters for the upcoming Stranger Things season 2, which premiers October 27th.  Set about a year after the events of season one, the second season of Stranger Things will take place around Halloween 1984.  Season 2 will consist of nine episodes, an extra episode from season one’s 8-episode story.  More episodes more strange.  Win-win.

The posters are rad.  Very 80’s.  Complete with the double fold marks like they were torn out of your favorite magazine and hung on your wall.  Unlike most movie posters these days, these television posters are simple yet elegant.  We have the returning cast members and a few new members of the crew looking stage left, that is everyone except Billy (Dacre Montgomery), who’s gazing stage right. Is everyone else looking at him with the puzzled look? Is Billy the new big bad?  Why’s he looking in the other direction?  I don’t know, I’m not even 100% sure I got the whole “stage right” “stage left” thing correct.  We have to watch to find out. Having said that, the posters get the point across.  “It only gets Stranger”. Righteous. Righteous. Righteous.
