‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ Shows Evangeline Lilly Almost Full-Wasp

The first images of Evangeline Lilly as the Wasp in the Marvel follow-up to 2015’s ‘Ant-Man‘ – ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp‘ are here.  Lilly shared the first image of herself on twitter in almost the full wasp garb.  Lilly shared the picture celebrating what would have been Jack Kirby’s 100th birthday.

We see Lilly as the Wasp without her helmet, but otherwise fully geared up.  The suit is different than the one  we saw at the end of the original Ant-Man.  As with most Marvel films, and superhero flicks in general, we get get multiple suits.  Time will tell.

Here’s the official Marvel synopsis:

From the Marvel Cinematic Universe comes a new chapter featuring heroes with the astonishing ability to shrink: “Ant-Man and The Wasp.”  In the aftermath of “Captain America:  Civil War,” Scott Lang (Rudd) grapples with the consequences of his choices as both a Super Hero and a father.  As he struggles to rebalance his home life with his responsibilities as Ant-Man, he’s confronted by Hope van Dyne (Lilly) and Dr. Hank Pym (Douglas) with an urgent new mission. Scott must once again put on the suit and learn to fight alongside The Wasp as the team works together to uncover secrets from their past.

Ant-Man and the Wasp has an amazing returning cast members and new players including Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lilly as our title characters, with Michelle Piefer, Laurence Fishburne, Walton Goggins, Judy Greer, TI, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Douglas, and of course the fan favorite scene stealing Michael Peña as Luis.

Currently in production, ‘Ant-Man and the Wasp’ will be hitting theaters July 6, 2018.
