Universal Cable Productions (UCP) Invades San Diego Comic Con 2017! Red Carpet Coverage!

(AOTN) Stars from across the NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment portfolio, including cast members of SYFY’s “The Magicians” and USA Network’s “Colony” shared laughs and libations during Universal Cable Productions’ 8th annual San Diego Comic Con party.

The event was held at Omnia Nightclub where guests were treated to”Psych: The Movie” pineapple cocktails in honor of the upcoming reunion flick on USA, “Blood Drive” inspired blood orange margaritas, ‘Happy!”themed desserts inspired by the Dark Horse Comic’s character of the same name, and ‘Mr.Robot’s” newly released Funko Pop! Vinyl figures.

A variety of UCP talent attended the festivities including “Happy’s!”Christopher Meloni and producer Grant Marrison; “Colony’s” Sarah Wayne Callies, Tory Kittles, Peter Jacobson; Producer Gale Ann Hurd; “Psych:The Movie’s” James Roday, Dulé Hill, Maggie Lawson, Kristen Nelson, and producer Steve Franks; “The Magicians’” Jason Ralph, Stella Maeve, Arjun Gupta, Olivia Taylor Dudley, Hale Appleman, Summer Bishil, and executive producers John McNamara and Sera Gamble; “Battlestar Galactica’s” Michael Trucco, Grace Park; “12 Monkeys” Emily Hampshire, Todd Stashwick, Alisen Down and creator Terry Matalas; and “The Expanse” cast members including Steven Strait, Frankie Adams and Dominique Tipper.

Executive Producer Terry Matalas and the cast of SYFY’s “12 Monkeys” left fans clamoring for more following today’s San Diego Comic-Con panel, in which an exclusive clip from the fourth and final season was unveiled in the room. Todd Stashwick added to the excitement by dancing to his character’s favorite song “Don’t You (Forget About Me).” During the panel discussion and Q&A, moderated by Nerdist’s Alicia Lutes, Matalas, Aaron Stanford (James Cole), Amanda Schull (Dr. Cassandra Railly), Emily Hampshire (Jennifer Goines), Todd Stashwick (Deacon) and the Witness herself – Alisen Down (Olivia) revisited the series’ most talked-about-moments and teased what’s to come in the mythology’s final chapter. Season 4 of “12 Monkeys” will return in 2018.

Executive Producers and Creators Carlton Cuse and Ryan Condal, along with Executive Producer Wes Tooke and the cast of “Colony”, delivered on their promise to give fans answers about the surprising truth behind the Earth’s mysterious occupiers. They also teased a first look image of an alien battle at the end of the panel. In a touching moment, fans began singing a happy birthday to Josh Holloway. Attendees were then given instructions to track down a limited-edition print of the artwork using a GPS code. During the panel discussion and Q&A, moderated by Nerdist’s Ben Blacker, Cuse, Condal, Tooke, Josh Holloway (Will Bowman), Sarah Wayne Callies (Katie Bowman), Peter Jacobson (Proxy Snyder) and Tory Kittles (Broussard) also revisited Season 2’s most culturally relevant and shocking moments. Season 3 of “Colony” will return in 2018.

SYFY and Universal Cable Productions’ breakout series “The Magicians” brought the stars and executive producers together today at San Diego Comic-Con to discuss its powerful Season 2 finale. Moderator Chris Hardwick was joined on stage by series regulars Jason Ralph (Quentin Coldwater), Stella Maeve (Julia Wicker), Olivia Taylor Dudley (Alice Quinn), Hale Appleman (Eliot Waugh), Summer Bishil (Margo Hanson) and Arjun Gupta (Penny Adiyodi) alongside executive producers and co-creators Sera Gamble and John McNamara. After a lively conversation about musicals, bank robberies and that crazy finale, the audience got a sneak peek into Season 3 and its highly anticipated new set – the Muntjac boat. “The Magicians” is set to return to SYFY in 2018.

Today at Comic-Con fans were delighted to get the chance to see characters from President Laura Roslin to Helo take the stage and reminisce over every ‘frakking’ detail of one of science fiction’s masterpieces, “Battlestar Galactica”. Moderator Maureen Ryan from Variety led a fun and laughter filled look back at the groundbreaking adventures of the crew of The Galactica. The panel included executive producers Ron Moore and David Eick, and cast members Tricia Helfer (Number Six), Mary McDonnell (President Laura Roslin), Grace Park (Lt. Sharon ‘Boomer’ Valerii), Tamoh Penikett (Captain Karl ‘Helo’ Agathon), Aaron Douglas (Chief Galen Tyrol), and Michael Trucco (Samuel Anders). SYFY also announced in the panel that as part of its 25th anniversary celebration, the network will be airing a full series marathon of ‘Battlestar Galactica” this September.
