(AOTN) Netflix gave us a huge surprise this morning by unveiling the official release date for the high anticipated return of the hit series “Stranger Things” for season two! “Stranger Things 2” will officially begin streaming on October 27th!

In addition to the release date news, Netflix also revealed a creepy new poster and new teaser trailer spotlighting the upcoming season.

Fans have been on the edge of their seats since last year’s epic finale which left us with quite a cliffhanger and definitely more questions rather than answers. As this new teaser trailer promises in 1984, “things only get stranger”, and would really want it any other way!

You can check out the new teaser trailer below:

In a statement, Netflix revealed that Season 2 will start with a rescued Will Byers, but that a “bigger, sinister entity still threatens those who survived.”
