Barb Will See Justice In ‘Stranger Things’ Season Two!

(AOTN) Being huge fans of the Netflix original series “Stranger Things” and of course being a member of “Team Barb” we, of course, are overjoyed at the news that our beloved character will be seeing some kind of justice when season two of the hit series returns this October.

No, this does not mean that Barb will be coming back from the dead, but rest assured her character has not been forgotten. Many fans were angered that Barb’s mysteriously disappearance and untimely death in the series was for the most part ignored by the main characters in the series. They even started the social media hashtag #JusticeForBarb!

The show was stolen by Eleven, played by the incredible Millie Bobby Brown, and the search for Will in season one, however Barb, played by actress Shannon Purser, stole our hearts and we definitely feel the character deserves some kind of closure in the upcoming season.

Actor David Harbour, who plays police chief Jim Hopper in the series, spoke with TV Guide and commented on the Justice For Barb movement saying “Barb is clearly dead. But as a result, I think, of some of the fandom and also as a result of what we want to explore, justice for Barb is a big thing in Season two. Barb was not given the justice she deserved in Season 1 because we were focused on Will and saving a child, but so we’ve realized from the fans that Barb is important, and so we are going to treat her with the respect that she deserves.”

This news should be satisfying to fans and we will just have to wait and see what the Duffer Brothers will do to give the character her due closure. Now it’s time to wait on the edge of our seats until season two of “Stranger Things” begins streaming on October 31st.
