Late to the Party: ‘Deadpool 2’ Teaser

Much like Deadpool in the teaser ‘No Good Deed’, we here at Age of the Nerd are a bit late to the showdown, as every other site on the internet has already shared the video.  But, with Logan slashing through theaters earning an impressive $85 million domestically this weekend, Fox had smartly released a “teaser” trailer for Deadpool 2.  While Logan fell short of Deadpools‘ insane  $132,434,639 million opening weekend ($783,112,979 worldwide overall), Logan crushed the last PG-13 X-Men installment X-Men: Apocalypse,  which earned only $65.8 million in its opening weekend.  This is all good news for fans who have wanted riskier superhero films, with studios beginning to see there is a clear marketplace for R-rated superhero flick.  Now on to Deadpool.

Here’s the teaser trailer for Deadpool 2 titled  “Deadpool: No Good Deed”:

The initial teaser for Deadpool 2 is less teaser and more short film.  Replacing director Tim Miller, director David Leitch (John Wick) has stepped in and directed his first Deadpool film-of-sorts.  I love what Fox is doing on this side of their X-Men universe, and shorts like “No Good Deed” offer excellent fan service, and show that the new director knows how to handle both the action but most importantly the comedic elements that make the character of Deadpool such a fan favorite.  We here at Age of the Nerd are excited to see more about Deadpool 2 in the near future, for now, we have this teaser, and make sure you go check out Logan in theaters nationwide.
