As I have already admitted, I don’t know much about the source material besides what I skimmed on Wikipedia, but this trailer looks legit! Not only does this trailer give promise of an amazing action movie, but looks to deliver a truly weird and unique Sci-fi story, which is something the industry desperately needs.

Here’s the official synopsis for Ghost in The Shell.

The Major (Scarlett Johansson) is a special ops, one-of-a-kind, human-cyborg hybrid who leads an elite task force known as Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, she faces an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotics’ advancements in cyber technology.

Director Rupert Sanders steps up for his sophomore film, following his 2012 feature ‘Snow White and The Huntsman’. Despite the mixed critical response to his full length feature, many will agree the film is visually stimulating. More to the point, it was a financial success. That alone will usually keep you employed in the entertainment business. Hopefully Sanders brings a unique visual aspect to this highly anticipated adaptation.

Ghost in The Shell hits theaters March 31, 2017 in 3D and IMAX 3D. For a behind the scenes look at the film, follow director Rupert Sanders on Instagram.
