The title for the upcoming Star wars is…….. Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Okay, I can dig it. Here’s the first official poster:
The most glaring thing missing from the first poster is the lack of any mention of Episode Eight. It’s simply titled Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Now, it’s extremely early into the marketing campaign for Disney’s newest journey into the land of Skywalkers and Jedi’s. Another thing I noticed that instead of ‘STAR WARS’ written in its classic yellow, The Last Jedi’s font is red. Again, this could mean something or it doesn’t. It’s all speculation from here which is when the fun begins.
With less than a year away, and a month out from the last Satr Wars standalone, anticipation is rightfully high. Ryan Johnson (Looper) takes over for J.J. Abrams in the directors chair, and I think is the perfect filmmaker to add to the most popular movie franchise I’m history. Now the countdown begins to when we will see an official trailer.
John Boyega (Finn), Daisy Ridley (Rey), Oscar Isaac(Poe Dameron), Adam Driver (Kylo Ren), Lupita Nyong’o(Maz Kanata), Gwendoline Christie (Captain Phasma), Dohmnall Gleeson (General Hux), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), the late Carrie Fisher (General Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3PO), and Andy Serkis (Snoke) all return for the latest Star Wars. They’ll be joined by newcomers Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern, and Kelly Marie Tran. The film will be released on December 15, 2017.
