The second “teaser” trailer (I use the word teaser loosely) for “Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2″ was released this passed weekend and it’s something to really be excited about! We are so excited that we made a list of 5 key things about the trailer that has us wanting May 5, 2017 to come a whole lot sooner.

Outer Space Dog Fights
At 48 seconds into the trailer, we see Star-Lord piloting a ship while in a space chase with an army of ships going after him. We seen just a little bit of intergalactic warfare going on in the first “Guardians of the Galaxy” film and seeing this makes us hopeful that there will be a lot more of it this time around.
Baby Groot in Action
No longer is Baby Groot an adorable dancing infant twig, he’s now adorably kicking-ass twig in his youth. There’s even a clip of him playing the hero with an atomic bomb.
First Look at a New Guardian: Mantis
We get our first look at Mantis played by Pom Klementieff. In the comics, Mantis had a couple of different looks. The oldest version of Mantis had flesh colored skin with a pair of antenna, which is the one director James Gunn decided to go with, though Mantis’ attire looks closer to the more recent version of Mantis. In this scene in the trailer, we also get to see a tease of the ability Mantis holds. More on this below…
Star-Lord and Gamora’s Relationship Continues to Heat Up
In the same scene where we see Mantis for the first time, she displays her ability at the expense of Star- Lord’s embarrassment. One of the many abilities Mantis has is the power to feel the feelings of others just by touching them. Mantis touches the hand of Star-Lord which leads to an hilarious and awkward situation with Star-Lord, Gamora and Drax.
The Galaxy Looks Much, Much Bigger!
From the explosions, the new characters and all the way to the galaxy itself, just about everything in this teaser trailer suggests that “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2” will be much bigger than the first film. Half of the scenes in this teaser trailer takes place in air rather than on ground and it gives it the feel that it’s much larger in scale. This is always a good thing.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2 hits theaters May 5, 2017 and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Michael Rooker, Pom Klementieff, Sylvester Stallone and Kurt Russell.
