New “Thor: Ragnarok” Set Photos Reveal Possible Plot Points

Giant-stone-statue-turned-human Chris Hemsworth has returned home to Australia to shoot the next installment of the Demi-God-turned-Avenger film – Thor: Ragnarok.  Hemsworth himself posted a photo to Twitter, showcasing his new side job with Demi-God brother, Tom Hiddleston.

If you remember the end of Thor: The Dark World (I won’t blame you if you don’t) Loki, disguised as Odin, offers Thor the throne to Asgard.  Thor declines and returns to Earth and Loki claims the throne for himself. This all led viewers to speculate what happened to the duo’s handsome bearded father, and thanks to photographer Glenn Hunt, we now might know.  Hunt has posted a photo of Anthony Hopkins in full hipster Jesus garb to Instagram.

Now, let us activate full speculation mode ~pew pew~ To me, this looks like Odin has been banished to Earth by Loki, and seeing as he’s never had to live in a world with a crumbling economy, Donald Trump, and Facebook, he’s not equipped to live a normal life and has become a bum.  Combine this with the fact that Hemsworth and Hiddleston are also in their fake New York shooting, it seems likely they’ve teamed up to find their father and bring him back to Asgard to help fight whatever horrible, horrible threat this Ragnarok is.

Another photo that’s been posted to the Twitter, this time by Daley Pearson, shows Hemsworth holding a business card that simply reads – 177A Bleecker St.  No, that’s not a new vegan restaurant in Greenwich, that’s a huge f**king cameo being hinted at!  177A Bleecker St is the address of Dr. Strange’s famous Sanctum Sanctorum… Not ringing a bell? Alright maybe it’s not that famous.  The Sanctum Sanctorum is Strange’s living space, meditation chamber, and his occult library, where he keeps relics such as the powerful Orb of Agamotto.  Whether or not the card itself is just an easter egg or Thor and Dr. Strange will meet is still up in the air, but it’s not unlike Marvel to throw a cameo or five into their movies.

Thor: Ragnarok isn’t schedule to release until November 3, 2017, so there will be much more to report on as filming continues.  Stay tuned!
