New Trailer for ‘DC Super Hero Girls: Hero of the Year’

The DC Super Hero Girls have been a huge hit with fans of all ages. The quick popularity of the animated series has now lead to a full-length animated feature film. DC Super Hero Girls: Hero of the Year is headed towards DVD and Digital this August. Here’s a trailer for the animated film:

DC Super Hero Girls will come to Digital HD Aug. 9 and DVD Aug. 23. The DVD will run $19.98 SRP and will include six animated shorts as special features.

Grey Griffin (Wonder Woman), Anais Fairweather (Supergirl), Mae Whitman (Batgirl/Barbara Gordon), Tara Strong (Harley Quinn/Poison Ivy) Teala Dunn (Bumblebee), and Stephanie Sheh (Katana).

Yes, you read that right! Tara Strong returns to voice Harley Quinn, who helped the character gain huge popularity in the 1990’s Batman: The Animated Series.

The DC Super Hero Girls have also had a very popular toy line. DC Entertainment and Mattel have partnered up to big these DC Super Hero Girls to life with 12-inch dolls, 6-inch action figures, as well as role play and playsets now available exclusively at Target in the U.S.
