Disney’s Beauty and the Beast opened up in theaters on Nov. 13 1991. The 30th animated film in the Walt Disney Classics series was a hit and grossed $425 million worldwide. Beauty and the Beast became the first animated film to be nominated for the Academy Award for Best Picture and went on to win multiple Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards and Grammy Awards. The success of the animated film has now led to a live-action film twenty six years later and will be released by Disney March 17, 2017 and will star Emma Watson. But before we are a guest of the live-action version,  a 25th anniversary edition of the animated film will be released on Blu-ray, DVD and Digital HD, this September.
