Details on ‘Batman: The Killing Joke’ In-Home Release

The iconic Batman: The Killing Joke, from author Alan Moore, is finally getting the animated film treatment from DC and Warner Bros. The book which debuted in 1988, tells a possible origin story of Batman’s most famous foe, the Joker, and has remained as popular as it controversial for a number of reasons. The main reason it is so controversial is the section where Alan Moore’s story takes a really dark turn and the Joker shots Barbara Gordon aka Batgirl, which leads to the Joker stripping her naked. There has been much debate about that particular part in the book on whether Barbara Gordon was being sexually assaulted by the Joker. Even after all of that, DC/WB are giving the fans the long awaited animated film which will be R-rated. Batman: The Killing Joke arrives Aug. 2, 2016 and we have all the details on what bonus features the in-home release will contain.
