Captain America: Civil War Trailer 2

The new Captain America trailer is here, and it is awesome! We finally get a better understanding of the driving story behind Captain America: Civil War, and doesn’t look like its going to disappoint. Unlike the first trailer, which really didn’t explain much, expect that Tony and Steve disagree and apparently everyone has to pick sides. Fans of the comics obviously know theres a lot more to story (even if it is abbreviated), but whats really important is showcasing that to the average movie-going audience. The only thing people are talking about after that first trailer was how awesome it was to see Cap and Bucky vs. Iron Man. I will admit that is an awesome scene, but it didn’t sell me on the film (although lets not kid ourselves, Marvel gets all my money). This trailer makes up for pretty much every complaint I had about the first one, and now that I have a better understanding of the story, I couldn’t be more excited. Check out the second official trailer for Marvel’s upcoming film, Captain America: Civil War right here!

First thoughts? How bad-@ss does Black Panther look! I know the internet is blowing up over the Spidey reveal in last few seconds, but in my opinion there were tons of cooler moments throughout this trailer. The Spider-Man reveal is just icing on the cake. Ant-man riding Hawkeyes arrow was notable, but as I already mentioned, Black Panther walks out the most interesting CHARACTER in this trailer. Watching him chase down Bucky on the bike and the way he moves, it is all just so boss. And lets not forget the fact that he just eats bullets like the Hulk.

The other most interesting aspect of this trailer is what appears to be a giant underwater prison rising in the middle of the ocean. It is always hard to guess the how out of order the scenes presented really are, but based on what we saw it looks like Stark is behind the building of the prison and may very well be rebuilding SHIELD. Again, its hard to decrypt the entire trailer but it has become clear that it is definitely more than just Captain America defending “his friend”.

Here is the official synopsis:

Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in twocamps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire  for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability. Get ready to pick a side and join the nonstop action playing out on two fronts when Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” opens in U.S. theaters on May 6, 2016.
