The Witch

So, you waited all morning to get into SDCC and you’re feeling a little rejected. Fear not! Because Seven Minute Takes has some love for you with our take on Richard Egger’s  The Witch and a discussion of our new rating system.

What do we think of the most hyped horror film of early 2016? Is it worth Seven Minutes of your time? And most importantly, how many Vaders does it get? What does that even mean? Find out now!

And be back here next week for Momentum Pictures’ newest, Dudes and Dragons, the Winner of Best Feature Film at Dragon Con 2015. A hilarious fantasy comedy starring Kaitlin Doubleday (Fox’s top-rated show, Empire), fan favorite James Marsters (Joss Whedon’s Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, Smallville), and an appearance by Luke Perry. When a powerful wizard (Marsters) vows to rid the land of love through the use of his fire-breathing dragon, a brave team of eccentric warriors embark on a grand quest to break the curse, defeat the wizard, and slay his terrible beast.
Also next week’s episode will feature Dark Sky’s newest, The Sheik. Khosrow Ali Vaziri was born in Iran in 1942, establishing a name for himself as an amateur wrestler, a bodyguard for the Shah of Iran, and an athlete representing his home country in the 1968 Summer Olympics. In the early 1970s, following the unexpected and controversial death of his good friend and Olympic wrestling gold medalist Gholamreza Takhti, Vaziri left Iran to pursue the American Dream.
Featuring candid interviews with Vaziri’s family, historians and over 25 wrestling superstars,
The Sheik is a pop culture documentary that chronicles this determined survivor’s electrifying career from his upbringing in Iran to his journey to the U.S. and his unprecedented experiences as America’s most hated villain.
