Edgar Wright’s ‘Baby Driver’ Begins Filming!

In the aftermath of the release of Ant-Man, a film that was scripted by Edgar Wright, and to be directed by Wright (but was eventually helmed by Peyton Reed), the Auteur’s next film was quite uncertain. Well, we now have our answer, as wright has announced the commencement of filming on his new film, Baby Driver via his Instagram page.

While music has certainly been a major part of Wright’s films in the past (namely Scott Pilgrim), the teases that he has offered only suggest a large music presence throughout the film. Wright has also been given daily updates via his instagram, offering insight into the daily process of filmmaking. Along with this, Wright has suggested a very retro feel for this film through all of the posts below. What really excites me is that Bill Pope (The Matrix) is photographing them film (pictured below), continuing an ongoing collaboration that has yielded amazing dividends with Scott Pilgrim and The World’s End. Hopefully, their success together will continue.
