‘Amityville: The Awakening’ Trailer

When The Amityville Horror was released in 1979, I don’t think that anyone would have thought that it would have spawned a franchise, let alone 12 sequels. That’s right, you heard me– the Amityville franchise will have had a total of 13 installments after the release of this new film. Although it’s not entirely clear if this yet another sequel, or yet another reboot, or a mix between the two.

Along side this, it seems that this new film will incorporate a social media aspect in hopes to usher the franchise to a new generation? It seems that the trailer is trying too hard, and more importantly, giving out a bunch of plot details and scares in the process. Regardless of this, Amityville: The Awakening stars Jennifer Jason LeighBella Thorne, Cameron Monaghan, Kurtwood Smith, and Mckenne Grace.
