First Look at Tarantino’s Hateful Eight!

Fans of Quentin Taratino can rejoice as we now have our first official trailer for the director’s next project, ‘The Hateful Eight‘. Many will remember the leaked script debacle that had fans and the outspoken director in a tizzy a little over a year ago, and led to Tarantino shelving the project, and the rest of us just wondering what could of been. Shortly after we found out that the critically acclaimed director would in fact be moving forward with the script, and then basically went right into production. Despite the leaked script (which anyone can find and read if interested) this production has managed to stay under the radar, with not much more than an synopsis to go on. That is until now. Check out the first official trailer for Quentin Tarantino’s eighth installment ‘Hateful Eight’.

Here is the official synopsis for the film.

While racing toward the town of Red Rock in post-Civil War Wyoming, bounty hunter John “The Hangman” Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his fugitive prisoner (Jennifer Jason Leigh) encounter another bounty hunter (Samuel L. Jackson) and a man (Walton Goggins) who claims to be a sheriff. Hoping to find shelter from a blizzard, the group travels to a stagecoach stopover located on a mountain pass. There, they encounter four strangers, and soon learn that they may not make it to their destination after all.

As many fans know, Tarantino is obsessed with his own filmography, constantly announcing that he will direct 10 films in his career and call it quits. With the Hateful Eight being the award winning writer/director’s eighth installment, simple math tells us he only has 2 to go. We also now based on an announcement earlier this summer that one of those 2 films will be another western, giving Tarantino the credit needed to be known as a “Western” director, which is personally fine by me. The real question is, will he call it quits after 10? only time will tell.
