Star Wars: The Force Awakens is probably one the most anticipated movies of all time. Judging by the trailers (as well as that amazing behind the scenes reel), director J.J. Abrams has seemingly crafted a film that will return Star Wars to it’s former glory, and we as fans will take anything that we can get with the film still roughly 5 months away. The presentation at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con was one for the ages. All of the cast were extremely reserved with their answers to the point where we learned almost nothing new about the plot of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. With Disney’s flagship convention-D23-happening this weekend, many had hoped for new footage and perhaps even a trailer.
While it has been confirmed that there won’t be anything new this weekend, this week’s EW cover story features TONS of new info on Star Wars: The Force Awakens, including several new photos, along with some that we saw previously at San Diego Comic-Con. We get new looks at new baddies Kylo-Ren (Adam Driver), General Hux (Domhnall Gleeson), and Captain Phasma (Gwendoline Christie). In addition, we have new photos of our heroes, Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley), and Poe (Oscar Issac); Along with several photos of J.J. Abrams directing on set.
