Going into this year’s schedule of events for San Diego Comic-Con, one of the biggest question marks coming in was AMC’s new spinoff series, Fear The Walking Dead. With the ever growing success of AMC’s The Walking Dead, Creators Robert Kirkman (who was not in attendance due to illness) and Dave Erickson are now focusing on the birth of the zombie apocalypse up to the point where The Walking Dead begins.
What I really found interesting about this series is the idea of spending most of the show in an urban setting as opposed to a rural one. The true question with Fear the Walking Dead is how much of a longevity it has, since there is only a certain amount of time before the events of the original show begin to overlap. That’s not to say that this one can’t continue on when it reaches that point, but I imagine Fear the Walking Dead playing with time in some major and hopefully interesting ways.
