The Suicide Squad Trailer is Here! (SDCC’15)

For the past few months, we have seen lots of official and unofficial sneak peeks at David Ayer’s upcoming film, Suicide Squad. Coming into this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, fans (including myself) didn’t quite know what to expect from what could be called the first super-villain movie. I for one have always been a proponent of such a film, but if the Suicide Squad trailer looks to be like nothing that we have ever seen from the genre before. Check it out, along with my comments below!

Suicide Squad has been rumored to focus on Harley Quinn (Margot Robbie) and Deadshot (Will Smith), as they attempt to “save the world”. The question is if what they are trying to save is for the greater good of humanity, or themselves. The film will also feature the return of the Joker (Jared Leto) to the big screen, along with some surprise characters that will play smaller parts in the overall arc of the film. I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw only a few small scenes with the joker and other characters in the finished film.

More importantly, what are your thoughts on the trailer? Does the tone trailer work for you? How do you feel about Leto’s take on the character from the small amount of time that we see him? Sound off in the comments below!
