The Gallows Trailer

The Gallows is an upcoming found footage film written and directed by the duo of Travis Cluff and Chris Lofing (Kid Hulk).

The Gallows stars Reese Mishler, Cassidy Gifford, Ryan Shoos, Pfeifer Brown and Alexis Schneider. The film is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. on July 10, 2015. With a young directing and writing duo at the helm, and a very green cast to follow. The Gallows could turn out to be the next Nightmare on Elm Street or Halloween according to early reviews. Let’s hope that it can live up to the hype.

The plot is simple, in 1993, a student of Beatrice High School named Charlie Grimille is killed in a horrific accident during the small town school’s play, The Gallows. Twenty years later, students at the school resurrect the failed show in a misguided attempt to honor the 20th anniversary of the tragedy – but a few of the students break in at night to stop the production and all hell breaks loose. In what is the first theater horror release of the year, The Gallows looks to be an early attraction for Teenagers but may very well be a thriller for the adults as well. I personally haven’t seen a very good found footage horror film since Troll Hunter, and I am intrigued to see what this will bring to the table.
