‘Point Break’ Trailer. New Film Said to be Inspired by Original.

1991 brought us Kathryn Bigelow’s first major picture with her in the directors’ chair. Point Break is considered to be one of the best films of the 90’s and one of Keanu Reeves best films as he starred along side Patrick Swayze. The story was simple, Reeves plays a young FBI agent who was sent on an undercover mission to stop a group of bank robbers who were thought to be surfers. It had some quality performances and a well executed story.

Now Twenty-Five years later, Hollywood being hollywood has seen fit to remake the film, in hopes of capturing a younger generation. Check out the new ‘Point Break‘ Trailer right here!

Obviously I was skeptical going in, but after viewing the first trailer I can honestly say that this could be a solid stand alone movie. The trailer which has Luke Bracey (The November Man) stepping in to fill role that was played by Reeves, and Edgar Ramirez (Deliver us from Evil) playing the iconic role of Bohdi, once played by Swayze. If i had to judge this movie on the first trailer alone, it would definitely be a high score. The cinematography and stunt work look outstanding in what has the potential to be one of the best remakes to date. Either way Point Break is shaping up to be a high octane thriller full of action and well shot sequences. w is set to hit theaters this Christmas.
