FX Orders Sutter’s The Bastard Executioner To Series! New Set Image!

FX has given the green-light for a 10-episode order of “The Bastard Executioner” a new period drama series from “Sons Of Anarchy” mastermind Kurt Sutter. The series will follow a Middle Ages warrior knight who gets pulled back into fighting once he assumed his days were done.

Taking on the role of lead actor is Lee Jones, who portrays executioner Wilken Brattle. The pilot episode was written by Sutter and he will be once again taking on the duty of executive producer alongside Brian Grazer, Francie Calfo and Paris Barclay. The pilot episode was directed by Paris Barclay and fans of SOA know that with Barclay in the directors seat heads are surely going to roll (in the best way possible).

The pilot episode was filmed in Wales and the rest of the series is expected to pick up production this summer with the plan being for a fall premiere on FX this year.
