What’s New to Netflix in May

April showers bring May flowers.  This cliché made you feel better about your Netflix binges while it was raining outside.  Now that May is upon us, you may not feel as good about sitting inside binging on shows and movies.  Lucky for you (and me), there are not as many “must see titles” coming to the platform in May.  Yet, there are still a few MUST WATCHES.

Fruitvale Station
(2013)

Even though this is what author Bret Easton Ellis would call glorifying the “victim narrative”, never has this story been so true to what we are currently going through as a culture.  Unarmed black men have been consistently shot by police, but it has finally reached the forefront of mainstream media.  Regardless of the topical relevance, the movie is fuc*ing good.  Check it out.

Netflix is our generations “bae”.  And no, I don’t like that word by any stretch of the imagination.  I’m just a product of my environment, and love me some quality television and movies, and Netflix is delivering better than anyone I could picture.
