Phil Lord & Chris Miller Are Working on ‘The Flash’ For WB

Phil Lord and Chris Miller are officially developing The Flash for Warner Brothers.  Deadline has confirmed the rumor that surfaced last week.  Lord and Miller of course are the directors behind both 21/22 Jump Street, and not to mention the Oscar Winn…. The Lego Movie.  It’s not yet known whether they will be directing the film as well, but they are building the universe for The Flash to exist.

??????????????

The Flash is scheduled to hit theaters March 23, 2018, so the director or directors need to hop on board soon.  Ezra Miller (Perks of Being a WallflowerWe Need to Talk About Kevin) is already signed on to play the speedster.  It should be interesting to see what these two will bring to a superhero movie, already proving they can handle an eclectic array of material.  Warner Brothers is bringing in some real talent for their superhero universe, and these guys are know for their comedic flare.  Bringing something the DCU needs desperately.  We’ll see if the two sign on to direct The Flash, as they are busy with The Lego Movie spinoffs and The Last Man on Earth, which was just renewed for season 2.

Right now, WB’s lineup looks something like this, via screenrant:

  • Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice – March 25th, 2016
