Back in January we got our first real look at at Ant-Man in action with a “teaser” trailer (yes. A “teaser” for a trailer… The marketing campaigns for these films are nuts). Many fans following the disastrous production of the film assumed Marvel’s next solo outing was going to be a train wreck. The teaser trailer was underwhelming to say the least and was not very successful in winning any fans over.

Well that is no longer the case, at least in my opinion. The new trailer does a great job showcasing Marvel’s final phase 2 film, and just how awesome Ant-Man has the potential to be. This trailer not only showcases some awesome action sequences, but also gives us a look at the rest of the cast and some of the potential plot points. For me the scenes between our main antagonist, Yellow-Jacket and Ant-Man that really sealed the deal.

Over the past year or so we have heard people try to explain the character and why he is awesome but it honestly just sounded like some silly sh*t. This trailer does great job explaining Ant-Mans’ powers and abilities and really shows you why it could be awesome on the big screen. And lets not forget that this film hits theaters shortly after The Avengers: Age of Ultron. Pretty much no matter what, fans will be foaming at the mouth for anything related to the MCU this summer.

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Judy Greer as Maggie, Tip “Ti” Harris as Dave, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, Wood Harris as Gale, Jordi Mollà as Castillo and Michael Douglas as Hank Pym. Directed by Peyton Reed and produced by Kevin Feige, Marvel’s “Ant-Man” delivers a high-stakes, tension-filled adventure on July 17, 2015.
