New Spectre Set Videos Showcase Rome Car Chase

Now that the 24th installment of the James Bond series, ‘Spectre’, is now deep into filming, videos are beginning to emerge of a massive car chase that the production is staging on the streets of Rome. We have seen video blogs and cast images, but now we are really starting to see the production actually in motion, filming one of Spectre’s key action sequences.

SPECTRE

Sam Mendes has always been the type of filmmaker that thrives on practicality of scenes in his films, and i’m pleased to see that the director is actually filming real car chases. Aside from this, the videos also give good insight into the logistics necessary to actually  stage a practical car chase as massive as this one. Recently, Mendes announced that he would be shooting this movie on film, as opposed to Skyfall, which was shot on the digital ARRI Alexa. The move to film for this project feels like the right one, and I can’t wait to see the results of this sequence as shot on celluloid. Spectre Opens November 6, 2015.
