‘Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation’ Trailer

The full trailer for Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation is now online, following yesterdays one-minute teaser. The film once again stars Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, who will be bringing the team back together once again.  Christopher McQuarrie steps into the Mission: Impossible directors chair this time around, and the prospects look promising.

Here’s the full-length trailer:

And here’s the official synopsis:

The new flick finds Hunt’s highly effective but destructive Impossible Mission Force (IMF) disbanded by vengeful Washington bureaucrats such as the CIA chief (played by Alec Baldwin). But Hunt pulls his team together (Jeremy Renner, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames and newcomer Rebecca Ferguson) to battle the shadowy force known as “The Syndicate” and its elusive leader (Sean Harris).

While I appreciate this new trailer, I think it’s less effective than yesterdays teaser trailer.  This trailer is longer and really just stretches out scenes that are included in the one-minute teaser. I was already sold on the movie yesterday, and if I had to recommend one over the other, just stick with the teaser trailer.  It’s enough.  Plot details are more fully fleshed out, but like everyone else, Tom Cruise riding on the side of an airplane is all we need to persuade us to see the film opening weekend. It’s a practical stunt, because Cruise loves risking his life for his fans.

Opening July 31st, Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation stars Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Jeremy Renner, Rebecca Ferguson, Alec Baldwin, Simon McBurney, and Sean Harris.
