Age of Nerd Oscar’s BATTLE! UPDATED!

Tonight we gather for the 87th Academy Awards to watch a parade of celebrities march down the red carpet, showcase the most recent fashion trends, give long-winded speeches and at some point accept awards for what is considered by the Academy to be the “best” achievements in film this year.

We thought we could bring some fun to this hollow spectacle, by once again making a game amongst the Age of The Nerd staff. Very simple: whoever has the most correct number of predictions wins. The winner will get to choose a movie or tv series the rest of us must watch. The LOSER (whoever comes in dead last) will have to write up our “Oscars Recap Article”. Should it feature their fashion opinions as well?

UPDATE: After a night of awards and celebrations, it is time to tally up the Age of The Nerd Oscar predictions!

  1. Pete/Sean= 11
  2. Taylor= 10 (despite missing 5 categories)
  3. Tommy= 9
  4. Kristyn= 8
  5. Kurt= 7

Despite the sub-par pageantry and theatrics, there is no denying that the night left us with moments to talk about, which you will have the pleasure of reading up about in “2015 Oscar’s Recap”, soon to be posted by Kurt Hall. In the meantime Pete and I have to agree on something for the rest of you to watch (harder than it sounds). We will let you know what we decide on in our soon to be posted Oscar’s Recap.
