Tim Burton Talks ‘Big Eyes’

Chances are if you’re around my age (26) you grew up with Tim Burton.  As a kid my favorite movies were Edward Sissorhands, Batman and Batman Returns, and of course Beetlejuice.  Since the evolution of CGI, it seems like my once favorite director was going down a different path than I had hoped.  Nonetheless, I’ve always followed Burton’s career and always found something within his new films I enjoyed.  I was excited when I found out he was directing a $10 million film in Big Eyes, and hoping for some of the classic magic Burton has conjured up throughout his career.  I stumbled on this 30-minute sit-down where Tim Burton talks with David Poland of DP/30 to discuss his new film Big Eyes, pop culture, his career choices, and much more in this great interview.  It’s an interesting interview and offers some insight on the way Burton thinks.

Here’s the full interview, and check out some more exclusive interviews on DP/30’s YouTube page.  Enjoy.
