Marc Webb’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opened #1 in its Domestic debut, earning a slightly underwhelming $92 million. While it’s one of the best debut’s of the year, it’s still short of what previous Rami Spider-Man films had done. 2002′s Spider-Manearned $114.8 million and Spider-Man 3 earned $151.1 million in their opening weekend. However, the sequel did $30 more than the original Marc Webb Spider-Man, and has an impressive $277 million overseas ($369 million worldwide total). The sequel should pass it’s predecessors $490 million in no time.
